Just for information:
If anyone here plays both the IRE game and decides to read the samples of the Chaha Shattered books it's important to understand that they describe different settings, situations and characters. In fact they occur in different time lines and different dimensions. One is meant to mainly be read (Chaha), the other is meant to be experienced (Game). Activities and Challenges will exist for both down the road; but most of them naturally will be for the game scenario.
Time: 2018
Place: Right here.
Type: Sci Fi
The Game scenario is more hopeful and positive. Activities will run the gamut here from the small to the very large. Less role playing and more doing is the name of the game here. You'll still have mysteries and discussions too. This is very open - world style, which means new activities and stuff can occur that I'm not yet anticipating.
Everything is tied together by a loose narrative that's more flexible and able to be influenced by events and player actions.
Time: Not Now
Place: Not here
Type: Dystopian
The book series is quite dark. Hence there won't be so many activities involving it; however some mysteries can be solved and a few fan activities will be created for it. Think discussions and various smaller things to do or contests here. There's more role playing in these things and it's not open world. You'll switch characters and point of views for various activities here; but it's a lot more situation based and they all have to be pre-planned. The Narrative here is preset, activities and discussions will dip in and out of the narrative; yet the overall narrative itself cannot be changed by player actions or events.
I'll elaborate on these and show examples. Just didn't want anyone to get confused....
